“SAATHI” an NGO organised a function at  Yeshwanthpur on Sunday the 16th November morning to handover  12 children who have left their  home and parents. The reasons were many - fighting with the siblings, father or beating, not interested in studies etc.
The parents who had not seen their wards for a couple days or weeks were in total sorrow and dejected. News came to them from the captioned NGO that their child is safe and they can came and take the child on 16 th November. Their happiness had not bounds. They came to Bangalore from Bihaar, UP, MP and several other North Indian States. Most of the trains from North India  end  their journey in Yeshwanthpur. About 15 children every day come to Bangalore  on an average. “Saathi “ takes care of them by giving them shelter, food and  other comforts.
Rtn. Sridhar, President our club was invited a chief guest. He was accompanied by Secretary Balaraj. Rtn. Sridhar, in his address to the gathering that Rotary is an organization which always stands in the forefront to serve the society. He assured the gathering that  Rotary will be able to take care of the such children, they may approach any Rotary in their vicinity of contact him over phone.
It was a heart rendering moment when the children embraced their parents and shed tears of happiness.
