The Milestone
What sixty years have built
Diamond is what time and pressure make of carbon. Sixty years of steady, unglamorous, week-after-week service have made something similarly enduring of the club chartered in December 1966. Schools that were crumbling now ring with lessons. Students who could not afford college now sign their names with degrees. Patients who had nowhere to turn found dialysis chairs, neonatal care and wheelchairs waiting.
The Diamond Jubilee is our year to honour every Rotarian, Ann, Annet, Rotaractor, Interactor and partner who made this possible — and to set in motion the projects that people will thank us for at our centenary.

Set up with the Vasavi Trust, giving kidney patients of modest means access to life-sustaining treatment close to home.

Two British-era government schools among more than two dozen rehabilitated — living monuments to the belief that every child deserves a dignified classroom.
100 Comfort Stations
Built at Santhekallahalli at a cost of about ₹39 lakh — dignity and hygiene delivered at village scale.
Five School Buildings
Government primary school buildings constructed at a cost of about ₹1.5 crore — classrooms that will outlast all of us.
Ksheerabhyudhaya
Our cow-donation scheme placed income-generating dairy animals with rural families — a hand up, not a handout.

When We Turned Fifty
Remembering the Golden Jubilee
Our fiftieth, in 2016, set a high bar. Twenty-one Royal Enfields and thirty-two riders thundered 110 kilometres from Bengaluru to Ramanagara in a commemorative rally, and Past Rotary International President K. R. Ravindran honoured the closing celebration. The Diamond Jubilee intends to raise that bar again.
